Clare Connell, one of the most prominent figures in the health and social care sector, has been celebrated for her outstanding contribution to consultancy and sector insight. As founder and CEO of Connell Consulting, she has built a business renowned for its deep market knowledge, with Power Fifty members describing her as an “outstanding networker and business driver with a client list to be proud of”.
Voters in the HealthInvestor Power Fifty highlighted the exceptional quality of Connell Consulting’s work, noting Clare’s “breadth of knowledge including financial, commercial and operational experience” and her ability to stay “fully in tune with the nature of services” when assessing assets.
Under her leadership, Connell Consulting has secured a significant and growing share of the UK health and social care commercial due diligence market. The firm now advises on several billions of pounds worth of private equity transactions each year and provides strategic and operational consultancy to many of the sector’s leading operators.

A Durham University graduate, Clare brings almost two decades of experience in strategic consulting, having begun her career in the strategy practice at Accenture. Today, she remains a key voice shaping insight, investment and innovation across the sector.
