Connell Consulting led the commercial due diligence on the original acquisition in 2025. Now, Hampshire-based Hartford Care Group is stepping up its expansion, taking over 16 care homes formerly owned by Select Healthcare Group and extending its footprint across the Midlands, Essex, North Wales and Kent.
The transaction follows Hartford’s financial backers, Foundation Partners and Deer Capital acquiring five homes from Graham Care Group in August. Together, these deals push their investment in new care homes to well over £300 million in just 12 months.
The Select Care acquisition adds 801 bedrooms, taking Hartford’s estate to 2,327 beds across 45 homes. With momentum firmly behind it, Hartford’s 2026 turnover is forecast to reach £140 million.
